NORTH CHARLESTON, South Carolina (BBN) — Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren ably snatched an informal, but significant, Blue Jamboree democratic caucus in North Charleston, South Carolina from California Senator Kamala Harris through old school political chicanery.

In sparsely attended Blue Jamboree caucus organized by the Charleston County Democratic Party (CCDP). Elizabeth Warren managed beat out Harris in the rally’s “Palmetto Poll” that had attendees drop black-eyed peas in Mason jar notwithstanding skipping the caucus.
The South Carolina primary — with its mostly African American voter base — beats out both Iowa and New Hampshire in determining the viability of any democratic presidential candidate. Since the 2008 election of Barack Obama, the Black vote and relevant turnout has determined every presidential election including Donald Trump’s defeat of Hillary Clinton in 2016.
While Harris clearly had grass roots support at the Blue Jamboree caucus, Warren apparently stacked the vote by bussing in supporters and placing her people in the state and local democratic party apparatus.
Gene Gillespie, an attendee from nearby Kiawah Island, said he stunned that the organizer thought they would get much attendance by charging an eye watering USD 30 a head entrance fee.
While Warner skipped the event, billionaire hedge fund manager Tom Steyer went out of his way to be available to participants and gathers and very different to “time is money” attitude of hedge fund principals.

However, Steyer’s attempt to curry support from the South Carolina African American community by meeting Black newspaper publishers may have backfired in a spectacular fashion.
Pete Buttigieg – South Bend, Indiana mayor and the current front-runner in the Iowa caucus- also managed to offend black publishers by offering a measly USD 15,000 in advertising spend and than accused the media owners of extortion when they rightly complained.
One attendee, noting that Steyer has a net worth of about “USD 34bn”, left the meeting without leaving any orders for media campaigns with the gathered owners of African newspapers and media, one attendee told Capitol Intelligence in an interview.
The moderate governor of Montana, Steve Bullock, was not able to gain any new traction at the Blue Jamboree notwithstanding he has the best chance of defeating Donald Trump in 2020 general elections.
While serving as the National Governors Association (NGA) chairman, Bullock hosted JP Morgan (NYSE:JP) CEO Jamie Dimon to speak about how JP Morgan Chase is opening bank branches in predominantly African American neighborhoods of Washington DC and Maryland’s Prince George’s County.

Dimon, speaking at the NGA Winter meeting in Washington, DC on February 23, 2019, spoke about how JP Morgan is actively harnessing the Opportunity Zone tax credits for economically depressed areas co-sponsored by Charleston’s native son, US Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) and Cory Booker (D-NJ.)
