CI VIEW: US Trucker convoy leaders aware of Ukraine conflict, will not disrupt US Capitol

HAGERSTOWN, Maryland (BBN) — (Update on March 13, 2022 to add interview with Ten Four DC organizer Fred Bowerman) The We The People convoy of US truckers are very aware that US soldiers may come in harms way in the escalating military conflict between Russia and the Ukraine and have no intention of disrupting the nation’s capital, said Fred Bowerman, the organizer of DC’s annual Ten Four DC trucker rally.

Bowerman, who is not an organizer but a fellow traveler, said the convoys’ main leaders Mike Landis and Brian Brase are currently discussing ways that the convoy can show respect to all those in harm way.

Bowerman said the core convoy of about 50 trucks is currently near Kingsman, Arizona and will arrive to Washington, DC no earlier than March 5.  The convoy leadership may even decide to cancel the rally or divert to another location other than DC, Bowerman said.

He said that the truckers are actively self-policing the convoy and have already taken out “a bad actor” from the group.
Mike Landis was the main leader of the 21-day May Day protest in front of the White House in 2020.
