We write to let you know that last week our parent company, MCH Group, was hit by a criminal cyber-attack using malware. Our IT specialists immediately took comprehensive measures to protect our IT infrastructure and restore our systems.

MCH has been working closely with security and cybercrime specialists, including the Swiss National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), the police and external experts. The most important internal and external communication channels have now been secured and we continue to work to restore all our systems and services as soon as possible.

The information currently available to us suggests that the perpetrators may have gained access to data such as personal contact details. We do not yet know the extent of the data breach and these traces are being analyzed in cooperation with cybersecurity experts as a matter of urgency.

As always, we recommend that you exercise caution when dealing with unknown contacts, for instance if you are contacted by third parties by e-mail or telephone, who may represent themselves as your bank, internet provider or insurance company and use personal details to gain your trust.

The MCH Group has filed a criminal complaint against the perpetrators unknown to us and is cooperating closely with the relevant authorities. Keeping your information safe is our utmost priority and we are taking the necessary measures to protect you and continue to work with a wide range of internal and external specialists to resolve the issues.

We will of course keep you updated on any relevant developments as they become available, including when you will be able to update your Art Basel access credentials on our site and within our Art Basel app.

If you have any questions, please reach out to cyberhotline@mch-group.com or +41 58 206 26 66. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this important matter.
