CI VIEW: BlueVoyant Tom Glocer declines comment on involvement in Iowa caucus fiasco

WASHINGTON, DC (BBN ) – BlueVoyant Executive Chairman and former Reuters CEO Tom Glocer declined to comment whether his USD 450m cyber security firm was in anyway involved in the failure of the Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) voting app during the Iowa Democratic Caucus on February 3, 2020.

BlueVoyant complicity in the Iowa Caucus fiasco comes after Democratic National Committee (DNC) told the news media that it was working with Defending Digital Campaign (DDC) and Harvard University‘s Defending Digital Democracy to ensure election integrity and cybersecurity.

Both DDC and Harvard’s DDD are connected to former Hillary Clinton 2016 campaign manager Robby Mook and former Mitt Romney Campaign Manager Matt Rhoades.

In fact., BlueVoyant issued a press release via the PR newswire touting its involvement in the DDC initiative six days prior to the Iowa Caucus.

BlueVoyant general counsel Scott Brown and BlueVoyant outside spokesperson Meredith Zaritheny had comment at time of publication when contacted by Capitol Intelligence/BBN.

The CEO of BlueVoyant is former Morgan Stanley COO Jim Rosenthal.

BlueVoyant touts its business with top secret government customers such as the National Security Agency and other intelligence agencies but almost has an open door policy at its College Park, Maryland facility housed in the University of Maryland start-up incubator park.

Capitol Intelligence was able to enter the BlueVoyant offices, where an executive claimed the company “was counting the Iowa votes.”

Jason Grumet, president of DC’s powerful Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) think tank, said the app fiasco is almost certainly due to competence issues and not political conspiracy.

In fact, Denver, Colorado Shadow, Inc owner Gerard Niemira claimed full responsibility for app meltdown in Iowa.  Shadow, Inc is a for-profit company controlled by democratic political non-for-profit, Acronym.
